To my few loyal readers,
I apologize for the delay in a new post but between weddings & rehearsal dinners, the new job, training, my softball team and my ridiculous social life...there simply hasn't been time to come up with anything creative. But fear not, for I am doing what us writers like to call "research" and will hopefully have some juicy things to write about soon.
You may notice that I have added some new links. To the dismay of the women in my family, most of them are related to boxing. But hey, The Contender is back for a second season which makes me extremely happy. Also back is my other favorite show, Project Runway. I know I am a contradiction of genders.
Anyway, enjoy the links and the shows and I promise I will be back soon!
RAGE ALERT: I do have one thing to rage on quickly...Eboogie and I did a road race this weekend which I registered for weeks before she did. When we got there, her number was 28 and mine was like 265. Why? Because she got married and moved up in the alphabet. I have had it with this persecution. Bastards!

I think you have to ask yourself why it is that you feel inadequate because you have a large number...
Perhaps when an opportunity arises that allows you to select your own number, for example, when picking your softball jersey number, you should always choose the number 1.
I always choose the number 3. My birthday, my birth order, etc. I just don't feel comfortable claiming to be #1!
Hello! What about the "You're going in the hole" incident? I thought you were going to blog about that!
Anyway, the whole race number thing was hysterical!
P.S. McD not only doesn't like being #1...she doesn't like being in charge either. I was trying to grow as a person by relinquishing control of valet parking my dad's car to McD, and she declined. (Being the oldest of three sisters, I naturally tend to take over and try to lead most situations.)
I have notes on that story, but I am not sure it translates. I think you had to be there for it to actually be funny.
I do not like being in charge. It is just not in my nature. I am much more content to go with the flow rather then be the decision maker. I am cool with you being the boss of me.
I usually choose 7... same reason, birthday... plus it hits all the time in roulette... sweet...
One question I have is how high did the numbers go... because if say there were 300, then ok, you are at the end... but if there was 1000 then I would consider 265 to be towards the front, and eboogie being that natural leader near the front of the pack at 28.
(There were probably only 270 numbers huh? haha...)
Side note... isn't pooh a teacher? I think its math, but still, one little write up and two spelling errors in the "quote"...
Brush up on the grammar sweetie... sheesh...
Oh wait, it is summer time, I bet your brain is on summer vacation...haha... only teasing, been a long time since I busted your balls a little...
And, I almost feel compelled to ensure I didn't make any spelling or grammatical errors however, since I am not a teacher, I give myself a hall pass...
I hope you are doing the helpless arm motions that go with my most famous quote.
Miss you too babe.
Apparently the blog brings people together. I will stop being a lazy ass and write something soon. Promise.
In true Snyder fashion, I may have exaggerated a LITTLE bit. There were 132 people in the race and I think my number was actually like 44.
And I thought your word was GOLD.
(That's gold Jerry gold!)
I am going to have to re-evaluate my opinions on all your other blogs now and take into account the exaggeration factor...
ahhh, ya konw what, I am too lazy for that... I am just gonna take your word for gold still, is that cool?
nice.
In case anyone has any desire to see the movie Lady in the Water. Don't. You can thank me for saving you $8.50 later.
Worst movie ever. I wanted to see Pirates 2 but lost in the voting. There were only 2 votes but I am of course the nice guy.
I'm with you McD. I'm completely fine with having other people make the decisions for me....it generally saves me a lot of time and brainpower. Case in point, my sister and the sales girl picked out all my furniture this past weekend, while Eboogie and Queen B have full reign over my fabric purchases. Only thing I don't get is your obsession with the numbers. You just have to view it like you should view your age....it doesn't mean all that much because it's just a random number.
By the way...nice ESPN pull in with the blog name :-)
I am glad that someone caught that! Well done.
I will be in Phili as a worker bee providing comic releif. I will have no responsibility whatsoever.
anonymous...
I have learned that you have to exaggerate in order to be funny. I am an software engineer and am usually the not funny one in the family because I am too anal and detail oriented. Trust me...you don't want me to have my own blog!
Yeah, I guess I have been a bit boring - especially if the best I can do is a grammatical pun... that is pretty lame.
I will try to spice it up a bit...
Let's give a big congratulations to Mato. She is officially a homeowner!! She closed on her condo yesterday.
Yeah, Mato!!!
Well done Mato! Condo ownership is the best. You no longer have a rent but you don't have to do annoying chores like mowing the lawn or snow removal. Nice.
Thanks guys. I'm liking it so far - of course there's so much to do it's a little overwhelming, but at least at this point it's the fun stuff. As of last night the spare bedroom and bath have been completed, so I'm officially open for visitors whenever they feel inclined to come down.....
Who is mato again? Family friend?
Anyway, congrats - it's the best investment you can make. Real estate over the long haul, never loses... Finally those monthly payments become a savings account of equity rather than just wasted rent.
A few downfalls of condo ownership:
1. A-hole neighbors... which is what I am dealing with now. Grrr... However, apartment renters can have the same issues.
2. Condo Fee. Ugh. Goes up every year. Kinda sucks and adds up. But, the money does go somewhere, lawns, snow, clubhouse, etc...
3. A-hole neighbors.
4. Depending upon if it's a townhouse or apartment style (mine is apartments style where everyone is on their own floor) if something breaks on the top floor, like a water pipe, all those below can have major issues.
5. Did I mention A-hole neighbors.
Family Friend.
Thanks for the advice/experiences anonymous. Luckily I have great neighbors and it is a townhouse so I don't have to worry about someone above me causing any water damage (which has happened to me while I was renting). I do agree on the association fees....what a rip off!!
As someone who owns a house rather than a condo, condo fees don't sound so bad sometimes. We have to pay for all of the supplies and then do all the work ourselves!
As for our neighbors who just moved in this weekend, they aren't a-holes...they are just a little dorky. The wife was actually cutting the grass in some strange shorts (appearently, they were pjs) and calf high black rubber rain boots. The lawn mower was one of those 1950's intertwined blade manual mowers.
